Metallic Coatings
Similar to other concrete coatings, metallic epoxy uses a multi-stage application process. High-tech epoxy is infused with metallic pigments, after which the product is applied to the floor. Depending on the results you seek, your epoxy flooring contractor might apply a single color or, for greater depth and detail, you may prefer the results from using multiple tones to create specific patterns and effects.
At Worldwide Epoxy, we have a variety of products that we can use for your floors, depending on your project goals and your budget.
We begin every project by prepping the underlying floor surface. This might involve stripping away old coatings, making repairs and prepping the concrete for maximum adhesion. Once the metallic layers are down, we finish with a clear, high-gloss sealant to preserve your new finish and protect the floor.
There are endless creative techniques that can be used to create a style that you can call your very own. Our high-performance, 100% solids, resin-based epoxy coating bonds mechanically to a surface to create a sealed barrier that will guard your floor from damage caused by salt, fluids, chemicals, and automobile wear and tear. It’s also a great radon gas barrier for basement floors. Unlike other epoxy coatings on concrete floor paints, Worldwide Epoxy is not water- or solvent-based, which means that when we apply the coating, there is no product shrinkage due to evaporation. Using a 100% solids resin-based epoxy coating will ensure long lasting adhesion and durability.
